Eating For Sleep

This is probably about the easiest place for most people start. It doesn't require you doing anything to your sleeping patterns, only the food you take in.

The average person actually eats quite poorly due to a lack of understanding of foods. Most of the food out there is processed. There's a little more to the fact that it was made in a factory, but that is full of chemicals. These are the chemicals that end up upsetting your body and causing these irregularities in sleeping.

By eating the right foods you can keep the sleep hormones being produced in healthy amounts at the right times. Here are some observations I want to share with you…

  • A Seth Roberts reduced his sleeps naturally, by 30 minutes, by reducing the amount of processed foods he was eating. That means all the cooking spices and avoiding anything that is packaged or artificial.
  • It is believed that people on a raw food diet actually require a lot less sleep than a person on a cooked diet.
  • Carbohydrates have been linked to increasing the demand of sleep you need. It is believed to be so because all carbohydrates are turned into blood sugar. Dr. Stanley Bass experimented with cutting out sugars (including fruits) from his diet and found that he reduced his sleep need by 3 hours.
