It seems like something that you wouldn't have to follow, but it is extremely important. Your bodies clock is greatly adapt to a consistent behavior. Like I've been saying over and over again, consistency is the key.
Eating at specific times will actually help regulate all the sleep hormones, so they're coming out at the right times. If you're eating a heavy meal before bed, it's not going to help you. Your body has to spend a lot of energy digesting it, which takes away from the quality of your sleep.
