Keep A Dream Journal

Are you one of those people that don't remember any dreams? Well, I'm just like you. Or I was just like you. I guess the best way to describe remembering dreams is like using a muscle. If you haven't used it, it gets weak. So the less dreams you remember, the less likely you'll remember them in the future.

The journal took me a few days to get things to work. I'd wake up and the first thing I'd ask myself was "where was I". This gets my mind to think back to where it previously was, which is a dream.

At first you'll only remember a few things, but after a few days of doing this you'll remember a lot. I mean almost too much. I had to literally stop because I would be writing for a few hours.

Here is what I found are the best methods for keeping a dream journal…

  • Point Form - If you write out the sentences, you'll soon be writing a novel.
  • Pictures - Draw a picture because it will save you a lot of time.
  • Dialogue/Numbers/Signs - Write down anything that was said that you can remember or anything you may of seen.
  • Personal Impact - Sometimes you'll just have one of those dreams that will have an impact on you. Usually something in it will just impact you. Make sure you stay extra detailed on these points.
