Preventative Snoring MethodsI'm going to share with you some preventative snoring methods that you can use to help stop this problem. A lot of people don't actually look for a solution. I think it is like a lot of things; if it be weight loss or snoring, people want a solution, but not if it comes at the expense of their lifestyle. I think anyone that wants to fix this problem needs to think of the people around them that they're probably driving crazy. Your spouse in the bed next to you has to put up with the most damage. I'm going to talk to you about some preventative snoring methods that you can execute before bed to prevent any kind of snoring.There is a very common way to help prevent snoring and it is a simple as rolling onto your side when you're sleeping. Most people that snore are on their back. Gravity pulls down on loose tissue in your throat and pulls it right in front of the airway, causing snoring. When you roll onto your side, gravity pulls it to the side and opens up your airway. The problem is forcing yourself onto your side when you're not conscious to do it. What you can do is sow a tennis ball into the back of your t-shirt. This way when you try to roll onto your back the tennis ball will be in the way. That method will work decently, but it won't stop all snoring. Another preventative snoring method is supporting your jaw. Unless you hold your jaw up and closed while you sleep, you put a lot of pressure on the throat and cause it to contract. By simply closing your jaw, the airways open up and snoring disappears. What you need is a snoring chin strap. It's just a headband that wraps around your head and jaw, holding it up. March 31 2009
