What you probably didn't know is that the airway in your throat contracts and expands by the position of your jaw. By holding your jaw in a closed position, your airways will actually open up. That makes it very difficult for a person to snore. The prevent snoring device also forces you to breath in your nose. When air is going in your nose, it will rarely ever make a snoring sound.
